Ondeh-ondeh is a Baba and Nyonya dish which originate in Melaka. The original ondeh-ondeh does not have a coconut filling. Normally, it is made of a sweet potato dough or pandan dough to wrapped with some chopped gula melaka and boiled in a pot of boiling water and then coat with some steamed shredded coconut.

Getting to Jonker Street:
Jalan Hang Jebat is also known as Jonker Street.  the start of the famous jonker street is opposite the Christ Church Melaka (red building).  there are many famous foods, a MUST TRY for all visitors to Malacca.

2 important roads you wish to explore  Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock and Jalan Hang Jebat (jonker street).  if you are staying in Equatorial Hotel , 5 mins walk only to Jalan Hang Jebat.



Malacca's Jonker Street Night Market (Friday to Sunday only)

the night market is open from Friday to Sunday, the street would be closed to motor vehicles. Please be careful with your belongings as my friend's sister was a victim of a pickpocket syndicate from Vietnam.
